1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website and submitting an application for the Vintage Story civilization event ("the Event"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or submit an application.

2. Eligibility

To participate in the Event and use this application system, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (in compliance with COPPA).
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the application process.
• Have a valid copy of the Vintage Story game to participate in the server.
• Have a valid Discord account for communication purposes.

3. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to adhere to a high standard of conduct both on this website and within the Event server. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
• Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized modifications.
• Griefing or intentionally disrupting the gameplay of others outside of agreed-upon roleplay scenarios.
• Impersonating event staff or other players.
• Posting malicious content or attempting to compromise the security of the website or server.

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in the rejection of your application, suspension, or permanent ban from the Event.

4. Application Process

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Event. Applications are reviewed by the administration team, and decisions are final. We reserve the right to accept or reject any application for any reason.

5. Race Assignment

By submitting your race preferences, you acknowledge that:

• Assignments are made based on a combination of your preferences, available slots, and a randomized algorithm.
• You may not receive your first choice of race.
• Assignments are generally final, though administrators reserve the right to make adjustments for game balance.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create during the Event (e.g., roleplay stories, screenshots). However, by participating, you grant the Event organizers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content for promotional purposes related to the Event.

7. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

8. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Event or this website at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the website or the game server.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Event organizers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
